This is the second annual report from a programme of research by the Living Wage Unit into issues related with the living wage and poverty in London. It presents an update of the living wage in the capital and looks at what threshold might be considered as constituting poverty level wages in London.  It also provides the most recent figures for the youth living wage in London. This report includes a new section reviewing the main steps, which the GLA group has taken to implement the living wage since the last report was published.  It also presents a discussion of the methods available to estimate housing costs in London.

It was published as Alan Freeman and Leticia Veruete-McKay, A Fairer Wage: the living Wage in London. Living Wage Unit of the Greater London Authority, May 2006
