In 2007 the GLA received a German Trade Union delegation including in particular representatives of the Ver.di confederation. This is one of the most comprehensive succinct statement of what the Living Wage is, how it differs from the Minimum Wage, and why we believe it had a significant effect on poverty in London. Also interesting is the statement of the German Trade Unions themselves, which is mainly concerned with the minimum wage. There are two slideshows here, one English and one German.
