In 2008 the GLA decided to commission an independent evaluation of the benefits of the Living Wage. This was to include benefits to the employers such as efficiency gains and to the contractor, such as improvements to service. There were five responses. The bulk of the work on evaluating benefits was eventually undertaken by KPMG who in the course of their studies became advocates for the Living Wage. This entry provides the GLA’s original request to tender.
