Following the 2008 crash, this wave reached august UK Times, which conducted an ill-advised survey of its readers to assess what they thought of Marx. This fascinating article provides a glimpse into a moment of history during which, briefly, nearly 50% of the Times’ readers avowed that Marx had a better understanding of the system they lived in, than the neoliberal experts on whom the had hitherto depended.
