International Interest in the GLA’s work on both the Creative Industries and Metropolitan Regions began to grow from the middle of the first decade of 2000. In particular, a research team based in Ile-de-France, the metropolitan region in which Paris is located, began applying our methods to measure and track the region’s creative economy. The research later extended France-wide and began to secure adoption in several European and East Asian countries.This entry contains the Paris report, and the questions that were posed to us as the research developed and as we began trying to harmonise the results.
