In April 2009 Canadian Dimension published a special issue on the recession, initiating a debate about Keynes that continued in subsequent issues and included contributions by Cy Gonick and Rick Wolff. In the July 2009 issue, Radhika Desai and I responded, arguing that Keynes’s radical side has been unjustly ignored by Keynes’s Marxist critics, who mistake the anaemic and sanitised version of his ideas peddled by most Keynesian for the real thing.
