On 13th January 2014, after a long consultation process, the UK Department of Media, Culture and Sport (DCMS) released its new employment and output figures for the UK’s Creative Industries, based essentially on the ‘intensity’ approach developed by [Hasan Bakhshi, Peter Higgs and Alan Freeman] and synthesising the findings of researchers in the [Greater London Authority] and Queensland University of Technology. This piece is my own blog commentary.
