Presented to the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation’s Marx200 conference, Berlin 2-6 May 2018

These slides, and the presentation, are so far the only place in which I have exhibited the manner of distribution of surplus value among the various property-owning classes, and their use of it, in a systematic way. This not only addresses the vexed and very poorly-understood question of ‘productive’ and ‘unproductive’ spheres of the economy, but the entire basis for the alternation of short expansive periods of capitalism with long epochs of decline, such as the present one.
